TRANSFORMING LIVES: Unique Care and Support Foundation (CASFOD) Sets Bold Course with New 3-Year Country Strategy

CASFOD has recently unveiled its 3-year country strategy, which aims to chart a new course for its humanitarian and development response in Nigeria. The strategy, approved by the board chairperson, encompasses five thematic areas that seek to empower children to reach their full potential. Over the next 3 years, CASFOD will mobilize resources to improve the health and nutritional status of women and children, enhance education opportunities with a particular focus on girls, protect women and children, enhance access to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) products and services, and promote sustainable livelihoods in communities affected by emergencies.

In addition to these goals, CASFOD will engage in advocacy and policy influencing activities across all the stated goals, as well as participate in information management activities. The organization places great emphasis on coordination and will invest in establishing effective coordination mechanisms across the implementation communities to ensure efficient support for children and young women. Recognizing the link between global climate change and the prevalence of emergencies, CASFOD will prioritize climate action activities in its strategy implementation.

It is important to note that CASFOD’s strategy specifically focuses on emergency-affected communities in the Northeast and Northwest states of Nigeria.

We appeal to donors, foundations, and philanthropists to support the realization of this strategy over the coming years. Aligned with our values, CASFOD is committed to being goal-oriented and determined to achieve success.
