On 13th October, 2023, the in-country representative for Malala Fund accompanied by the Executive Director of CASFOD alongside other Malala Fund education champions and the Speaker, BOHA represented by the member representing MMC, Hon. Ali Kotoko have signed the charter for the Malala Fund Gender-Transformative Education Ambassador in Borno.
The Gender-Transformative Education Ambassador Programme stands as a beacon of hope for gender responsive sector plans and budgets, with focus on legislative engagements.
During the event, the speaker expressed his appreciation for the opportunity given to him to champion girls’ education in the state.
He also made a commitment to join forces with the executive arm of government to make essential legislations that would proactively address the educational needs of girls, ensuring that their rightful place within the education sector is recognized and supported.
